This family were headed for a seachange and decided to renovate their existing home to achieve a better result come Auction day.
Nestled in the Yarra-Dandenong Ranges, Cockatoo is the home to many older style homes, ripe for renovation.
The kitchen and laundry design needed to appeal to the future potential family buyer of this home. Following discussions, the Designer created an L-Shaped Kitchen where kids could easily flow from the hallway to the left of the kitchen straight to the outside deck and casual dining.
Working with the vast space in the Kitchen area it was decided that Platinum Inspire white cabinetry would be used to blend with the timber lined ceiling. This type of cabinetry creates the open feel whilst absorbing the outside light further enhancing the beautiful cabinetry.
The special touches of the wine and spice racks and lazy susan in the corner cabinet adds a nice touch to the Kitchen. The enhanced features of pot drawers allow for maximum storage for a family.
The laundry design was created using the same cabinetry and Pale Lancelot Oak Duropal laminate benchtop was selected to complement the timber door leading to the outside clothesline. This was also carried through to the neighbouring bathroom to create a uniform style.
These spaces are not only fresh and warm but has increased functionality and storage which is perfect for a family.
You can only imagine the excitement of these clients at Auction Day when their home sold for a considerable amount higher than first anticipated. Even the Real Estate Agent was impressed with the transformation from before to after as well as the sale!
DIY Kitchen Renovations like this one prior to sale not only saved them money by installing themselves (as the client had done other renovations) but added extra funds to their next new build.
