A perfect Before and After transformation in this DIY kitchen renovation.
This old-style kitchen with almost plyboard cabinetry, green speckled benchtops and dark timber pantry doors were so ripe for renovation.
When designing with Mary at Smart Kitchen Preston much discussion occurred around what worked and what didn’t in this space.
The discussions led the Designer to create a U-Shape Kitchen like the existing space.
The 3D Kitchen Design, visually helped our clients to see that the layout and flow of the existing kitchen worked well but required a few modifications for the family.
As the hallway to the right of the kitchen was wide enough for traffic without breaking the functionality of the kitchen, it was kept the same. However, removing the wall oven tower gave the kitchen a more open feeling. The clever use of white further enhances the open space. Replacing the pantry doors with white instead of dark timber also helped to unify the whole spac
The excitement of these clients grew with the effective new rangehood and large under bench oven becoming a central hub for the new kitchen.
This fresh white kitchen is a clear improvement from the old to the new.
DIY Kitchen Renovations like this one not only saved the client money but helped them to divert funds that helped them fully complete the renovation. The extra funds from cabinetry savings were spent on updating the flooring and adding some beautiful penny round tiles. The beautiful tiles complement the kitchen and simply sets the scene. The addition of the waterfall benchtop finishes the kitchen beautifully and also protects cabinetry from traffic passing by.
This is the freshest space we have seen for a long time and one of our favourite parts is the pantry that provides ample storage space. The kitchen functionality is further enhanced by the pot drawers and the corner lazy susan. Both ensure storage within the kitchen zone is maximised.
