This renovated Victorian home in Balaclava was a sight for sore eyes prior to the complete diy kitchen makeover.
A new owner recently purchased this Victorian home in Balaclava and wanted to transform it for sale. Luckily for us the kitchen was in the perfect spot to encapsulate the light from the nearby window (which was to be replaced by a larger one). The client wanted the kitchen to be neutral to appeal to a multitude of buyers.
The Smart Kitchen Preston team worked with the client to create a modern kitchen on the inside whilst keeping with the style of the home on the outside. The brief was to create a unique, bright, open kitchen space that would also act as an entertaining hub flowing onto the adjoining dining area.
While the island bench opens up the space further with an entry either side for ease of flow when entertaining as well as flow into the adjoining space. White benchtops further created the fresh, modern style.
The results were stunning. You can hardly believe it is the same home. The use of white cabinets with slimline handles created the open feel. The brightness was further enhanced by the light flooding in and the view of outside while washing up the dishes. Each detail has been carefully chosen to reach the brief including the tiled black and white splashback acting as a backdrop to create the unique feature. The white benchtops allow the flow around the kitchen with the overhang to provide extra seating in the kitchen area.
This heart of the home added enormous value for the vendor on Open Inspections . “Wow love the kitchen”, “what a fresh space” and “I can imagine myself cooking in this kitchen” were just a few comments from potential buyers.
DIY Kitchen Reno Kilsyth
This 1970’s brick home in Kilsyth was another investment property diy kitchen makeover.
This time the team at Smart Kitchen Kilsyth designed a kitchen that would suit a range of potential buyers. The result was a perfect space to update this old, tired home.
Here the honey coloured timber flooring worked in nicely with the white gloss cabinetry. The soft touch of the Jurasic Marble benchtop creates a uniqueness as well as a large island bench for any new family to enjoy. This all blends nicely with the black and white splashback tiles creating an elegant kitchen.
The clever design for extra storage built into the wall leaves more space in the neighbouring lounge/dining area for the potential family.
