Wow, the Smart Kitchen team created this transformation and we love the bright, fresh look in this renovated home in Fairfield, north-east of Barbados. Here is a kitchen review of the project.
It was important to nail the brief because this customer wanted to sell his home. The customer wanted a bright, open plan kitchen space leading onto the adjoining dining and living area. This was a wise choice knowing it would appeal to a wider range of potential buyers. White is universal, and easy for anyone to add their own personality into the space.
The design of white gloss cabinetry along with white subway tiles and stainless steel appliances immediately creates the bright feel. This type of kitchen is then ideal to add splashes of colour as seen here with herbs and wooden chopping boards. The natural light from the windows and attached living/dining space makes this kitchen glow like it should.
Creating a breakfast bar has also allowed additional seating for a family, maybe the young ones colouring in while Mum cooks dinner or a partner enjoying a nice glass of wine at the end of a hard day’s work. What an outlook to come home to.
The timber flooring creates the rustic feel along with the timber dining table and chairs set against the white kitchen looks superb. The kitchen working triangle offers easy reach from sink to cooktop to fridge and an easy reach to the dining table for the whole family to share those precious mealtimes. There is no doubt this did add enormous value on the day of sale.
